If you love the experience of tasting new and exciting foods and traditional cuisine on your trips around the world, you’ve come to the right place. Simply continue reading to discover some of the best travel destinations for food, which are well worth adding to your bucket list. Italy, England, and Thailand.

Italy

One of the first regions which you should visit on a culinary tour of Italy is Tuscany, where you’ll be able to taste local dishes such potato torelli which is a pasta dish filled with potato and wild game such as deer or rabbit and fettunta which is lightly toasted Tuscan bread which is drizzled with green olive oil and salt. As Tuscany is Italy’s top wine producing region, you’ll also be able to sample delicious world class wines with your traditional Tuscan fare.

Next on your food tasting tour of Italy visit the eternal city of Rome, where you’ll be able to sample authentic Italian pizza and a wide variety of creative gelato flavors. If you have trouble choosing a pizza flavor, you can’t go wrong opting for a traditional Margherita pizza which features fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, salt, extra virgin olive oil and locally produced tomatoes.

England

England is an underrated food destination as your mind probably doesn’t think of England when you think of world-class cuisine. However, if you visit England you’ll be able to book a traditional high tea, during which you’ll be able to sample delicious pastries, cakes, tarts, and slices, served with your choice of tea. England also offers a wide variety of unique regional foods to sample such as Cornish pasties which are a traditional pastry from Cornwall which features beef, potatoes, swedes, and onion. Although vegetable and cheese flavors are available for vegetarians.

While in England, it’s also worth ordering bangers and mash, fish and chips and a traditional hot English breakfast. The latter of which contains black pudding, sausages, eggs, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and toast. As the most popular takeaway in England is curry, it’s also well worth visiting a local Indian restaurant to sample a spicy Vindaloo.

Thailand

Thailand is known for its flavorful foods such as pad thai, green curry, and red curry, some of which you may have tasted out at home. Some lesser known dishes which are well worth testing out on a trip to Thailand include guay teow, which is a hearty noodle-based soup, and tom kha gai which is chicken in a coconut soup. Also, make sure to try out som tam which is a favorite with locals and is a spicy salad that is created using green papaya. As Thailand produces quality craft beers, it’s well worth washing down your spicy, hot dishes with a local beer.

So if you can’t wait to travel again and to delight in tasting a wide array of international dishes, you simply can’t go wrong choosing to travel to Thailand, England, or Italy for your next culinary adventure.
